HANASHI / 話
Every place has a story.
Most of them are never written down.
SCROLL TO BEGIN
Every place has a story.
Most of them are never written down.
They live in the quiet moments before the doors open. In the chef who arrives before everyone else. In hands that have repeated the same movement ten thousand times.
In the hiss of a grill.
The first cut of the knife.
A table waiting for its guests.
And then, just like that, the night begins.
At Hanashi Studios, we film these moments.
Not because they are perfect. But because they are real.
話
Hanashi
means story.
We started Hanashi with a simple belief: the best films don't feel like advertisements. They feel like memories.
- A restaurant is more than its food. It is the years someone spent learning a craft.
- The ingredients arriving before sunrise. The conversations behind the kitchen door.
- The nervousness before opening night. The regular who always sits in the same seat.
- These are the things people remember.

When we pick up a
camera, we don't begin
by asking:
“What should we shoot?”
we ask:
What is the story
here?

Small moments. But put together, they become something bigger.
A feeling. A place. A story worth remembering.
Made for food.
Made for hospitality.
Hanashi Studios is a Singapore video production studio focused on restaurants, chefs and hospitality.
Sometimes the story is thirty seconds.
Sometimes it needs ten minutes.
Sometimes it becomes a series.
We create cinematic brand films, social films, documentaries and short-form stories for the places and people we believe are worth paying attention to.
The format changes. The way we look for the story doesn’t.

Before we film, we watch.
01
Watch
We spend time in the space.
02
Listen
To the rhythm of the room.
03
Notice
The details no one points out.
04
Film
Only then.
Because one day, everything changes.
Menus change. Restaurants move. Teams grow apart. Chefs get older. Neighbourhoods become something else.
And places we thought would always be there eventually disappear.
Film has a strange ability to keep a little piece of them alive.
The sound. The movement. The light. The people. The feeling of being there.
That is why we make films.
Not simply to show people what a place looks like. But to help them remember what it felt like.
HANASHI STUDIOS
We don't film restaurants.
We film what they mean to people.
Singapore video production for restaurants, chefs and hospitality brands.
